From Quill Pen to the Information Age

A 1917 Corona typewriter, assorted 1950s fountain pens and cartridges, ink wells and a quill pen stand out in this exhibit. The world's largest pieces of natural chalk are also displayed in this booth!

A 1984 Compaq Computer is the relic shown here! It had a whooping 10MB of storage power on its hard drive! We think it is closer to the quill pen and we'll upgrade to Windows XP Pro!

This exhibit showcases the 1960s Mimeograph copier. Many schools and offices used this workhorse to lighten up their workday! It works and  even has a can of original duplicator fluid.

Magma Mining Company & OMYA Displays

Magma Mining Company was founded in 1910 in Superior. This booth contains old Magma hard hats, beautiful bornite specimens, Magma local history, and old mining journals. Magma Mining  closed its last mine in Superior Arizona in 1996.

OMYA is the largest processor of calcium carbonate with over 100 facilities worldwide. OMYA opened its Superior Arizona facility in 1999.  Calcium carbonate is used in a variety of products from food supplements to paint.

This booth has Magma Mining Company mining bits, hard rock drills, carbide lanterns, 1920s miner's lunch box, underground telephone, and fire extinguisher balls. This equipment was used mostly in the 1920s through the 1950s.

Yesterday's Kitchen Displays

In this exibit you'll find an early 1900s toaster and many old metal canisters. Also in this display is an Almond Joy candy box with the ridiculously low price of 10 pennies on the box!

A 1930s Sears pressure cooker with instruction book, an old Singer sewing machine, and a 1950s popcorn popper showcase this booth.

The main display in this booth is an old potato scale. Also in this exhibit is an old milk bottle, old soda bottles, and an old coffee maker.
